  • About the Department
Department of Trade handles registration of business premises, revenue from Modern Market, International Market, ware houses, games and pools, betting etc. The Department has the responsibility of promoting the growth and development of all aspect of business in the State.
  • Functions

The department is structured into five (5) units, namely:

i. Trade and Investment Promotion

ii. Registration of Business Premises

iii. Weight and Measures

iv. Market Development and Management

v. There are Commercial Officers each across the 23 Local Government Areas in the State who are under the Department of Trade.
